Wild Horses

Wild Horses.

I am the great untamed, or is it now the great maimed .?
With my fierce speed and stubborn exterior ,
I make all mankind feel inferior !
Yet I am in a can , once disregarded and shoved aside.
I am the gentle giant your darling children like to ride.
I am the transport and a hauling tool you use.
I am the horse that someone out there has abused.
I am a horse whose large stagnant eyes are wild with play.
I am a horse who works for you hard and long all thru the day.
Yet in my mind I am king of glorious plains.
I am the wind a spirit under the awakening of reins.
I am led down. with it whipping, tearing my flesh .

I am a horse once wild and free.
That was until mankind decided to kill me.
